Editor Content Entry Checklist

Use this when

• Editors are adding resource posts, case studies, or service page updates.
• Content needs to match existing site patterns.
• The team wants fewer cleanup passes after publishing.

Before publishing

• Add the title, excerpt, category, and featured image.
• Confirm the slug is short, readable, and matches the content.
• Use headings in order and avoid skipping levels for visual effect.
• Check every link, including buttons and resource references.
• Confirm images have useful alt text or are intentionally decorative.

Editor preview checklist

1. Preview the entry in the actual template, not only the editor canvas.
2. Check the card version wherever the post appears in a grid or related area.
3. Review mobile spacing and image crops.
4. Scan only the headings to make sure the page still makes sense.
5. Confirm related resources, categories, and back links are useful.

Common cleanup items

• Excerpts that repeat the title without adding value.
• Headings used only for styling.
• Links that open the wrong page or point to staging URLs.
• Images that crop awkwardly in cards.

Quality check

• The excerpt should make sense on its own.
• The published page should look intentional while logged out.
• The content should be easy for another editor to update later.
